Project Description

According to the IADB, the objective is to generate internationally comparable evidence on student learning outcomes in the Caribbean and provide a robust foundation for system monitoring, policy design, and reporting on SDG 4 by 2030 by expanding the participation of Caribbean countries in the 2029 PISA cycle. The specific objectives are: (i) strengthen institutional capacity to measure and monitor education quality through internationally comparable learning assessments, including the establishment of national teams, implementation guidelines, and training sessions across the different assessment stages; and (ii) enhance the use of education data to inform education policy decisions that improve human capital investments in the Caribbean.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
