According to the IADB, the general objective of this TC is to promote the adoption of a cybersecurity strategy tailored to the specific characteristics of NSOs in LAC. The specific objectives are to: (i) assess the current state of cybersecurity in participating NSOs, including protocols, infrastructure, and institutional frameworks, to identify main risks, challenges, and obstacles; (ii) analyze and adapt South Korea's advanced legal frameworks and technological solutions for data security to the statistical context of LAC; and (iii) design a regional cybersecurity strategy and country-specific roadmaps aligned with NSOs' needs and covering all stages of the data production process, collection, transmission, analysis, and dissemination.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
