According to the IADB, the general objective of this Regional TC is to expand and improve the quality of the Bank's operational and analytic work to foster more proactive disaster risk management (DRM) for IDB member countries., Particularly, the TC will focus on improving the quality of operational and analytic work related to a comprehensive approach that pays special attention to actions aimed at strengthening resilience before a hazard turns into a disaster. The specific objective of this TC is to realize high-quality implementation of several priority activities set out in the IDB Group Disaster Risk Management Action Plan (DRM-AP) 2024-2025, aiming at achieving the aforementioned general objective.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
