According to the IADB, the general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to enhance the effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) policies in promoting economic growth and productivity by improving the measurement of AI adoption across firms in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The specific objectives are to: (i) develop and validate methodologies for measuring AI adoption that can be applied across various sectors; (ii) explore the relationship between AI adoption and economic performance, focusing on the impacts in different industries; and (iii) integrate AI adoption data into national AI policy frameworks in at least three countries by the end of the project.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
