De acuerdo con el IADB, el objetivo de esta Cooperación Técnica (CT) es fortalecer la efectividad en el desarrollo de las operaciones de intermediación financiera lideradas por la División de Conectividad, Mercados y Finanzas (IFD/CMF). Esto apunta a aprovechar el conocimiento existente sobre la efectividad de los programas y políticas que apoyan el desarrollo multisectorial en América Latina y el Caribe (ALC) a través de los Bancos Públicos de Desarrollo. La CT busca ofrecer soluciones financieras más efectivas que resulten en impactos mensurables en el desarrollo y un mejor acceso al crédito para las MIPYME, mejorando la inclusión financiera, la productividad y el desarrollo socioeconómico.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
