According to the IADB, the main objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the capacity of National Development Banks (NDB) in implementing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) processes. The specific objectives are to support: (i) the capacity building of Development Financial Institutions (DFI) in the region through a series of seminars and workshops on M&E; (ii) the access to and use of administrative data from multiple public and private sources to leverage the sustainable implementation of complementary information system that is essential to the measurement of social returns; and (iii) the design of an optimal incentive of Randomized Control Trial (RCT) structure that motivates first and second tier entities to collect data and simplifies the construction of the counterfactual.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
