According to the IDB , the objective of this Technical Cooperation is to support the educational systems of Latin America and the Caribbean in accelerating their digital transformation. The specific objectives are: (i) to assist educational systems in designing a strategy for digital access in schools considering connectivity, devices, digital skills, content, tools, and platforms; and to monitor their progress towards the goals established by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Bank; (ii) to identify promising and responsible applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education used in the region and evaluate their potential to enhance learning, in order to guide countries in the region on the effective use of new technologies in education.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
