According to the IADB, the purpose of the TC is to support the strengthening of the economic-financial regional cooperation system of the Amazon. The specific objectives of the TC are: 1) Strategic support for high-level regional public policy dialogue on issues of common interest in the Amazon context for the establishment of regional investment plans; 2) the facilitation of actions for the mobilization of the private sector for the financing of sustainable investment for the Amazon; and 3) the creation and strengthening of regional economic-financial collaboration networks, in support of the renewed commitments of the countries of the basin, and particularly under the framework of the IV presidential summit of the countries of the Amazon basin.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
