According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the Caribbean countries in the development of national roadmaps to foster low carbon, resilient and inclusive infrastructure, therefore, closing the infrastructure gap and the achievement of the climate commitments under their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), as well as the sustainable development goals. This TC, through its multisectoral approach, aims at: (i) creating National Infrastructure Investment Plans-NIIPs, aligned to the Paris Agreement and with gender considerations , involving: energy, transportation, trade infrastructure, telecommunications, water and sanitation, and public services (health, education, government, security) to support the expansion of project pipelines and project preparation and bankability; (ii) contributing to the digital transformation of the provision of public services through sustainable infrastructure; and (iii) strengthening the regulatory framework to further develop Public Private Partnerships as a way to encourage private capital mobilization.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
