Promote knowledge, as well as the development and introduction of innovative solutions in the water, sanitation and solid waste sector. This TC will finance activities related to knowledge and demand strengthening and the provision of intelligence and stimulation of coordination between demand and supply of innovation so that operators and managers of water, sanitation, and solid waste management services can identify, test, implement and escalate innovative solutions and products. It is expected that the adaptation of innovative management models and technical solutions will contribute to supporting the efforts of the countries in the region to achieve the sectoral ODS.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
