To contribute to the digital transformation of the governments of the region through the generation, dissemination and analysis of indicators related to the advancement of digital government, at the level of the countries and the region. This information will serve two main purposes. First, it will support decision-making on evidence-based digital government policies and programs, to identify strengths and weaknesses in this area, and develop baselines. Second, it will motivate digital transformation efforts in the countries of the region, through the possibility of comparisons between peers and transparency before citizens. Specifically, the objective it is to create a Regional Observatory of Digital Government that standardizes and gathers a set of indicators on the progress of digital government in a visualization platform that serves as a common infrastructure for the participating countries and that informs public policies about digital government and the provision of services to citizens. The institutions that will participate in the project and will benefit from it directly are those in charge of digital government at the national level.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
