According to the Bank's website, this project finances technical cooperation to strengthen the fiscal planning processes in the countries of the Andean region regarding migrant assistance, in order to increase socioeconomic integration and achieve greater economic growth. The specific objectives are as follows: (i) quantify the gaps in the effective integration of migrants; (ii) quantify the fiscal cost of attention to the migrant population; and (iii) encourage the implementation of public poicies based on this data.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
