Project Description

From the IADB: This Technical Cooperation project proposes to promote the creation of the Research Laboratory Innovation in Education for LAC that strengthens decision-making processes and information about education policies in the region by improving the quality of available information and facilitating exchanges between policy-makers and producers of knowledge on the basis of a consensual regional agenda among the Ministries of Educations of the beneficiary countries. The specific objectives of the project n are: (i) to facilitate access to critical information for decision-making in education, through the creation and communication of evidence; Ii) informing the design and implementation of evidence-based educational policies, through analysis of successful processes and practices; (Iii) to promote innovation in education, anticipating avant-garde themes and making promising practices visible; (Iv) create demand for evidence-based policy; And (v) strengthen the link between policy makers and knowledge generators by creating networks of researchers according to regional priorities.

The total budget for this project will be US$1,370,000, of which US$950,000 will be financed by the IADB through the Regional Public Goods Initiative and an in-kind contribution from Fundación Chile valued at US$420,000.
