The general objective of the TC is to support Paraguay in its efforts to combat corruption, within the context of its rapprochement with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The specific objectives are (i) to support the government in identifying legal and institutional gaps in public governance and in developing recommendations aligned with best practices in public governance, in accordance with OECD standards; (ii) to document the institutional evolution of the first quarter of the 21st century in Paraguay; (iii) to promote a dialogue with the government to explore opportunities for technical and financial support to implement the recommendations received.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
