Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

The objective of the operation is to support the Paraguayan Government and the municipalities of Asuncion, Concepcion, Ciudad del Este, Encarnacion, Villarrica y Pilar in the development of comprehensive urban planning instruments, through technical, environmental, social, and economic studies that will make it possible to define strategic actions and investments for each city. As a strategic objective, the TC will allow a closer understanding of the needs of the AMA and of the identified cities, building the bases for the development of a financial instrument that allows the development of an integrated investment credit operation with the municipalities of Paraguayan.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
