The general objective of the program is to contribute to the accessibility of the population in the Western Region of Paraguay to productive markets and social services and to facilitate international trade in the area of influence of the Bioceanic Corridor. The specific objectives are: (i) to improve the quality of road transport along Section II of the Bioceanic Corridor and the eastern access to Loma Plata; and (ii) to facilitate the availability of revenue flows for the maintenance of the intervened corridor.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
