Project Description

According to the IADB, the Customs Logistics Integration Program (PILA) (4517/OC-PN) aims to improve Panama's logistics sector through the modernization of infrastructure, equipment, and technological systems for trade control and facilitation. The program includes investments in border infrastructure, the development of technological systems for management and traceability, and institutional strengthening initiatives. Total financing amounts to US$75 million from IDB Ordinary Capital resources, with the Republic of Panama as the borrower and the ANA as the executing agency. The program is currently under implementation. Within this context, the present TC is conceived as a support instrument for loan execution, providing technical assistance for contract management as well as for the integration and operation of technological solutions.
