The objective of this TC is to support and contribute to the formalization of the labor market and strengthen the pension system institutions in Panama by providing technical support to the improvement of the operational and strategic management of the Social Security Fund (CSS). This TC will finance actions that support the CSS to: (i) improve the operational management capacity of the pension system, particularly the individual accounts component, with a digital transformation approach, (ii) implement the new functional and operational structure of the Specialized Technical Investment Unit of the CSS, (iii) draft a diagnosis and recommendation of a new functional and operational structure of the CSS Loan Center.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
