The general objective is to contribute to increasing the economic, social, environmental and climatic sustainability of Panamanian agriculture. The specific objectives are (i) To achieve a timely execution of operation PN-L1166, from its first years of implementation; (ii) Deepen the knowledge of the Panamanian agricultural sector, to facilitate informed decision-making regarding policy and investment options; and (iii) To prepare an agricultural health and food safety project.
The Bank will engage the services of (i) individual consultants, as set forth in Policy AM-650; and (ii) consulting firms, as set forth in Policy AM-650. established in Policy AM-650; and (ii) consulting firms, as established in the Policy for the established in the Policy for the Selection and Contracting of Consulting Firms (GN-2765-1) and its Operational (GN-2765-1) and its Operational Guidelines OP-1155-4, which became effective on January 1, 2017. ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
