Project Description

According to bank's website, the proposed project aims to promote private sector investment, expand access to digital connectivity infrastructure, deepen digital government reforms, support national and state cloud migration, and scale citizen-facing services--anchored in FSM's medium- to long-term investment roadmap developed by the Digital FSM Office. The operation is aligned with the WBG Small States Strategy's focus on the physical and digital connectivity lighthouse initiative that contributes to the creation of more and better jobs in FSM. It supports the implementation of the PIC9 Regional Country Partnership and achievement of WBG Outcome Targets by scaling-up investments in critical digital infrastructure, with a focus on increasing access to broadband internet and enhancing the delivery of digitally enabled services.
