Accroding to the project disclosure, the project objective is to respond promptly and effectively to an eligible crisis or emergency in Ethiopia. This project is one of the instruments that can be used to channel 10% of undisbursed and uncommitted funds in the country portfolio available through the RRO to support emergency response. This IPF is prepared in advance, with no initial funding. It can be activated to use RRO funds to respond to natural disasters, public health emergencies, political or security crises, and economic or social crises. Funds will be executed based on a positive list of eligible expenditures, including fuel and emergency energy supply, fertilizer supply, emergency livelihood support to households, emergency service restoration and response coordination and TA and emergency management. This list will be prepared and agreed with the government during preparation.
