Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the World Bank disclosure statement, this project enables the Central African Republic to rapidly access funds in the event of an eligible crisis or emergency -- such as a natural disaster, health emergency, or conflict. Once an eligible emergency is declared, the government prepares a Crisis Response Plan and can begin disbursing funds to finance: a) emergency livelihood support to households; b) provision of essential emergency supplies and services; and c) emergency response coordination and management. The project has a national scope, with exact beneficiaries to be defined in the Crisis Response Plan based on the nature of the emergency and the geographical spread of its impacts. Beneficiaries will include the affected population at large, with particular attention to vulnerable groups such as women, children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and forcibly displaced people, who will receive targeted support to ensure their safety and resilience during and after crises.

Contact Information
This section aims to support the local communities and local CSO to get to know which stakeholders are involved in a project with their roles and responsibilities. If available, there may be a complaint office for the respective bank which operates independently to receive and determine violations in policy and practice. Independent Accountability Mechanisms receive and respond to complaints. Most Independent Accountability Mechanisms offer two functions for addressing complaints: dispute resolution and compliance review.
