Project Description

According to the project disclosure, the project aims to address vulnerability of school infrastructure in Nepal through targeted data-driven and risk-informed investment to strengthen the resilience of existing schools before the next big disaster strikes. The project would adopt a whole-of-school approach, ensuring that it addresses the physical vulnerability of classroom blocks, while also addressing the functional needs of schools to optimize learning outcomes. Furthermore, the project with strengthen existing systems and development of long-term plan for risk-inform prioritization of school infrastructure investments for disaster risk reduction in the education sector.
