According to the World Bank Disclosure statement, the Senegal AgriConnect Multiphase Approach Program (SAM) is conceived as a comprehensive, 10-year strategic initiative to support the agriculture chapter of the Government's economic transformation agenda (Agenda National de Transformation 2050). It provides a delivery vehicle for the AgriConnect Senegal Compact (2026) and is aligned with the World Bank Group's new playbook, centered on jobs for poverty eradication and shared prosperity in a livable planet. The program builds on the IDA portfolio, IFC and MIGA interventions and pipeline. It is designed to catalyze private sector participation in agricultural value chains, foster innovation, and deepen market integration at both domestic and international levels.
