Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to bank's website, the proposed project is an Investment Project Financing (IPF) operation prepared in advance to enable a rapid and flexible response to eligible crises or emergencies, including natural disasters and climate-related shocks. The project does not have financing committed at approval; instead, it serves as a standing vehicle through which resources can be rapidly repurposed and channeled once an eligible emergency is declared by the Government of Fiji and a request letter is submitted to the World Bank.
