According to bank's website, the proposed operation aims to mobilize private investment and support quality job creation in selected tourism destinations in Indonesia by strengthening destination readiness and basic infrastructure, improving coordination, governance, and the business regulatory environment, and enhancing MSME capabilities along tourism value chains. The project will focus on destinations with evidence-based, proven potential for sustainable, high-quality tourism and will mobilize private capital through targeted public investments and de-risking instruments. It will align with ongoing WBG (including IFC and MIGA) engagements to ensure complementarity and maximize impact.
