Project Description

According to the World Bank, the proposed operation will finance the construction and commissioning of nine public university hospitals located in Turkiye's earthquake-prone zones to meet defined seismic performance and functional continuity standards. While the project's activities are limited to capital works, the design and verification of these works are explicitly oriented toward health-sector outcomes--namely, the continuity of critical services (emergency, trauma, intensive care, maternal-newborn care) and the protection of the specialist residence training of university hospitals during and after seismic events.
