As stated by the World Bank, the project development objective is to increase the efficiency and reliability of the electricity distribution system in Uzbekistan.
The implementing agencies will be the JSC "National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan" and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
According to the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank will contribute US$ 200 million to the project.
