According to bank's website, the approved project aims to support the Government of Jordan in scaling up implementation of the National Social Protection Strategy (NSPS) 2025-2033. Building on the foundations established under the initial FCDO-financed operation, the Additional Financing will strengthen integrated social protection systems through the expansion and operationalization of the Jordan Social Registry, enhanced interoperability across government programs, and strengthened data governance and digital delivery systems. The operation will further support the professionalization of social work and social service delivery, strengthen adaptive and shock-responsive social protection systems, and enhance institutional capacity for implementation, monitoring, and evidence-based policymaking. Through targeted investments in digital innovation, capacity building, coordination mechanisms, and technical assistance, the operation will contribute to a more integrated, efficient, inclusive, and resilient social protection system capable of responding effectively to evolving social, economic, and climate-related challenges.
