According to the WB, the development objective is to improve climate resilience and market access for selected Family Farmers in the State of São Paulo.
The proposed operation, Agro Paulista Mais Verde - Sustainable Rural Development Project, aims to enhance the climate resilience and market access of family farmers in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The project will promote the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices, sustainable natural resource management, and the strengthening of inclusive value chains. Through targeted investments, technical assistance, and institutional capacity building, the operation will support family farmers in transitioning to more productive, diversified, and environmentally sustainable farming systems. The project will also foster innovation and digital tools to improve service delivery and enable better integration of small producers into formal markets, contributing to the State's broader green growth and rural development agenda.
