According to bank's website, the approved project is a fast-disbursing instrument that can be used to channel the 10% of undisbursed and uncommitted funds in the country portfolio available through the Rapid Response Option (RRO) which the Government of Chad has formally subscribed to. This IPF is prepared in advance, with no initial funding. It can be activated to use RRO funds to respond to natural adverse events, public health emergencies, political or security crises, and economic or social crises. Funds will be executed based on a positive list of eligible expenditures, including funding for essential imports (e.g., food, medicine), cash transfers to affected households, key sector salaries to improve emergency response and replenishment of emergency or solidarity funds. This list will be prepared and agreed with the government during preparation.
