Project Description

According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this project is to improve access to essential services for street-connected children and adolescents in targeted areas and strengthen child protection systems nationally.

The project pilots an innovative approach specific to children and adolescents living in street situations in Bujumbura, designed to move beyond isolated service provision toward a standardized, integrated pathway connecting outreach, stabilization, and reintegration.

The project has four components:

Component 1: Improving Quality and Access to Services in Shelters and Drop-in Centers;
Component 2: Economic Pathways for Street-Connected Adolescents;
Component 3: Institutional Capacity Building and Government Systems Strengthening; and
Component 4: Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Knowledge Dissemination.

Early Warning System Project Analysis
