According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this project is to expand area under sustainable land management practices, secure land tenure and increase market linkages in Highland Areas. Specifically, it aims to: (i) expand sustainable land management in degraded Highland Areas; (ii) sustain and expand certification, registration, and digitalization of rural land rights in Ethiopia’s highlands, including communal forests and grazing lands; and (iii) raise farm incomes and create jobs by strengthening agribusiness value-chain linkages. Primary beneficiaries are smallholder farmers in program watersheds. The program will increase smallholders’ livelihood security and broaden income earning opportunities.
