According to bank's website, the canceled project aims to scale agrifood innovation and enhance scaling capacities of African organizations and stakeholders in Africa.. There are three components in this project. Component 1 (Data Systems and Institutional Capacity) will strengthen the data systems and infrastructure on which agriculture innovation is based, while improving the capacity of regional organizations and national partners to use those data and tools to generate, manage, and disseminate innovation. Component 2 (Inclusive Innovation Scaling) will develop a menu of mechanisms through which public and private actors will deliver innovation to farmers, while improve technical and entrepreneurial skills so agriculture professionals can access job opportunities and continue driving agriculture innovation. Component 3 (Project Management) will support the day-to-day implementation, coordination, supervision and overall communication and management of project activities.
