This Project is the first phase of an MPA to support infrastructure development for economic diversification in the Patagonia and Northwest Regions of Argentina. The Project includes a range of activities aimed at improving access to infrastructure services and enhancing tourism assets in the province of Neuquen, to support the local economic development of targeted regions in the province. These include interventions to improve and rehabilitate the road network, the construction of water supply and sanitation networks, provision of basic urban and tourism infrastructure, and the protection of key assets for tourism development against disaster risks. It also includes a range of institutional strengthening efforts and private capital enabling initiatives.
