According to the project disclosure, the proposed project promotes an integrated approach that provides a package of services to vulnerable children with disabilities. The approach considers the specific needs generated by the children's disabilities which accentuate their vulnerability that is currently not addressed or is addressed less significantly by existing programs. The project will therefore support activities that are aligned with the sectoral strategies and action models developed by the National Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ANPH - Agence nationale des personnes handicapees), the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity (MASS). The strategies respectively aim at supporting schooling for children with special needs and the economic empowerment of poor and vulnerable households. The proposed project will, therefore, facilitate ANPH's contribution to the social and economic inclusion of children with disabilities and their households and will be fully aligned with the ongoing efforts by the MASS to address different types of vulnerabilities at the household level.
