According to the bank website, "The project development objective is to improve water supply services and climate resilience for the aridest eastern region of Kosovo through enhancing water storage capacity. The development of Kike-Kremenata reservoir is expected to sustainably enhance the water security for the eastern region of Kosovo and is considered critical infrastructure by the client. The necessary preparatory activities for the reservoir development are expected to be completed in FLOWS1. However, the whole FLOWS strategy (i.e., FLOWS1 and FLOWS2) may have to be reconsidered in light of the latest dialogue with the client and the pending effectiveness of FLOWS1, including potential revisions in the design and sequencing of the planned and on-going water operations.
