According to bank documents, the project aims to detect and respond to the threat posed by COVID-19 in the Republic of Honduras. It has two components: Component 1: Emergency COVID-19 Response and;Component 2: Implementation Management and Monitoring and Evaluation.
The World Bank has classified this project as having Substantial environmental and social risks.

The World Bank Inspection Panel is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by a World Bank-financed project.
