Project Description

According to Bank documents, this project aims to provide electricity access to target settlements in Khatlon and Gorno- Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) regions of Tajikistan. Components of this project include:

  • Constructing the 10MW Sebzor hydropower plant and associated power transmission lines for domestic use and export to Afghanistan.
  • Providing electricity service and generation for  58 settlements in GBAO and 50 settlements in Khatlon through mini-grids (including solar, wind, and micro hydro) and household level sources (rooftop solar and solar water heaters)
