According to Bank documents, this project aims to provide electricity access to target settlements in Khatlon and Gorno- Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) regions of Tajikistan. Components of this project include:
The US Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), the European Rolling Stock Financing Cooperative, the German bank KfW, and the Swiss FOFEA are also involved in financing this project.
