Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the Bank’s website, the Project Development Objective (PDO) is to improve livelihoods support for better skills and access to opportunities in the tourism sector for the most vulnerable poor and marginalized youth and women in underserved target areas in Unguja and Pemba. The PDO will be achieved through provision of a sustainable community based platform facilitating skills and entrepreneurship training as well as linkages to private sector firms for potential employment or access to a market. Entrepreneurs who successfully graduate with a viable business plan will also be eligible for a grant and support to help them establish their business.
