According to WB documents, the project aims to strengthen local public finance management and participatory development processes in communes for the delivery of quality and sustainable social and economic infrastructure. The project has the following components:
Component A: Local development support
Component B: Support to the decentralization process
Component C: Coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation and communication
Further, the Additional Financing (AF) will finance: (a) social infrastructure, including health, education, water and sanitation; and (b) economic or productive investments, such as the construction/rehabilitation of rural markets, communities’ storage facilities, rural roads, small bridges, culverts, small-scale irrigation schemes, and small electrification projects.
