Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

The objective of the project is to i) increase installed capacity (megawatt), and ii) electricity output (megawatt-hour), especially peak hours, of the Noor-Quarzazate Solar Complex. The additional financing will expand the scope of of the original project to support development of Morocco's 'Noor' Solar Plan. This will include supporting the development of the Noor-Midelt Solar Power Project in addition to the Noor-Quarzazete Concentrated Solar Power Project. The name of the parent Project will be changed to Noor Solar Power Project; and the closing date will be extended to December 31, 2022, to accomodate developing and constructing the Noor-Midelt Solar Power Project. The restructuring will also reallocate funds from Component 2 of the original project to a new component in the restructured project.
