The proposed objective of the project 'Pakistan Hydromet and DRM Services Project (PHDSP)' is to strengthen the Pakistan's public sector delivery of reliable and timely hydro-meteorological and disaster risk management services to user departments and communities.
Component 1: Hydro-meteorological and Climate Services - The component will include capacity building, institutional strengthening and modernization of Pakistan Meteorological Department .
Component 2: Disaster Risk Management - The component will consist of infrastructure for resilience as well as strengthening the legal disaster risk management framework
Component 3: Contingent Emergency Response Component - This component will
support preparedness and rapid response to climate and natural disasters, emergency, and/or
catastrophic event as needed
