Project Description

According to Bank documents, this project provides financing aimed at strengthening the generation and delivery of selected agricultural public services in Uzbekistan. This includes generating new agricultural technologies and innovations, their dissemination through extension services, support for smallholder market inclusion, and improvement of sanitary and phytosanitary and food safety systems. 

This project follows the principle of Maximizing Finance for Development, seeking to attract private investments. 

This project is identified as having Substantial Risk under the World Bank's Environmental and Social Risk Classification.
