According to the bank's website, the project aims to support Indonesia’s transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy through policy and institutional reforms. It strengthens climate investment frameworks, accelerates emissions reduction in high-emitting sectors, and enhances resilience of marine and coastal ecosystems, while managing environmental and social risks through improved governance, monitoring, and inclusive implementation mechanisms effectively sustainably. The objetives are (i) to strengthen the enabling policy environment for climate investment, (ii) to accelerate a low carbon transition in high emitting sectors, and (iii) to enhance the resilience of marine, coastal, and wetland ecosystems.
This inverstment aims to support a broad transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy through policy reforms that improve climate investment, reduce emissions, and protect coastal and marine ecosystems.
