According to the Bank’s website, the objetive of this project is to contribute to the improvement of the inter-state road transport system and the promotion of intra-regional trade in Central and Southern Africa. This will involve improving the level of service of the road transport logistics chain on the Mbuji-Mayi-Kananga-Kalambambuji (DRC)-Chikolondo-Dundo (Angola) road, as well as the living conditions of the inhabitants of the area.
