According to bank provided intofrmation, the project objectives are two-fold:
The proposed project, will involve (i) rehabilitation of a 55 km road between Nsipe and Liwonde along the Nacala Road Transport Corridor and (ii) feasibility study of the Salima- Nkhotakhota-Dwangwa Road on the north-south corridor. The project shall be Phase V of the Multinational Nacala Road Corridor Project which the Bank and other development partners are supporting in Malawi, Mozambique and Zambia. The Nacala Road Corridor stretches from Lusaka in Zambia and transverses through Malawi to the port of Nacala in Mozambique.
