Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

As stated by the AfDB, the main objective of the AGRIZIDERP in the Limpopo Corridor is to promote a competitive and inclusive agribusiness in Gaza and Inhambane provinces through increasing agricultural production and productivity, by providing rural infrastructure support to production (irrigation, feeder roads, storage facilities, use of improved agricultural inputs, certified seeds and fertilizers), agro-processing, access to market and promotion of the value chain development.
The overall objective of preparation is to develop an organizational structure and a productive restructuring that allows territorial governance of the AGRIZIDERP with a view to promote production and economic development.

The proposed AGRIZIDERP preparation study will address various aspects of the value chain starting from production to consumption including technical, institutional, social, economic, and environmental aspects. It is expected that after the conclusion of the feasibility study, the Bank in coordination with Government of Mozambique (GoM), Development Partners and Private Sector will finance the program under Feed Africa Initiative.
The PPF advance requested will be used to finance the feasibility study of a The Agro-processing Zone and Resilience Program of Limpopo Special Economic Zone (AGRIZIDERP), as described in this proposal The concerned program aims to catalyze a process that results in a market system that is competitive, inclusive, and resilient. To ensure good program quality at entry, implementation, monitoring of system changes and at impact evaluation and to also fast track the preparation of this important program, comprehensive feasibility studies including marketing analysis, detailed engineering designs with Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and detailed designs need to be completed before program preparation and appraisal stages.

Contact Information
This section aims to support the local communities and local CSO to get to know which stakeholders are involved in a project with their roles and responsibilities. If available, there may be a complaint office for the respective bank which operates independently to receive and determine violations in policy and practice. Independent Accountability Mechanisms receive and respond to complaints. Most Independent Accountability Mechanisms offer two functions for addressing complaints: dispute resolution and compliance review.
