According to the project title, the project consists of a loan to Scatec ASA for the development of a 1.1 GW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The funds will come from the following sources:
African Development Bank - US$ 123.12 million;
Clean Technology Fund - US$ 19.62 million
Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa - US$ 19.42 million
As stated by Bloomberg, Scatec ASA operates as an energy company. The Company develops, builds, owns, operates and maintains solar, hydro, and wind power plants that generate clean and reliable electricity. Scatec serves customers worldwide.
