The objective of the Technical Cooperation is to support the preparation of the operation Support for Investing in the Future: Program for Feeding Vulnerable Populations (NI-L1155) aimed at improving the nutritional status in vulnerable school populations and preventing acute malnutrition in Nicaragua. Resources from the TC will be used to finance technical assistacne for the targeting, planning, management and evaluation of the Program. The CT will support the design and development of a diagnosis of the nutritional status and food and nutritional practices of the school-age population. Finally, the CT will contribute to the development of athe evaluation framework to assess the impact of the Comprehensive School Nutrition Program (PINE) on the nutritional status of school children.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
